The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has advised that the 2021 Coal Minesite Rehabilitation Scholarships (Minesite Rehabilitation Scholarships) are now open for application.  

Up to two postgraduate scholarships are on offer in 2021, each up to a value of $35,000 per annum, for up to three years. These scholarships are to cover living expenses of the scholars rather than funding of the research being undertaken.

Applications are sought by way of a brief proposal (no more than 10 pages in length) from postgraduate students who are undertaking, or are planning to undertake, research aligned to one or more of the 2021 Research Priorities (listed on the attached flyer and guidelines docs).

Universities also have the option to submit a brief proposal for consideration, prior to identifying a student to undertake the proposed research.

University proposals are also due on this date. If the project is successful in proceeding to the next round of the selection process, universities will have until 22 January 2021 to nominate a student to the project.
